The maximum speed remained at the same level - 210 km / h.
Following the base unit, the updated Toyota Camry received a new, more progressive 2.5-liter engine. Previously it was the 2AR-FE engine, now the A25A-FKS. As in the previous case, the difference was in the combined injection for the new unit. Still, in terms of power, there are changes, the new product can now produce 200 horses and 243 Nm of torque, while the old version produced 181 horses and 231 Nm of torque.
The advantage is that the Toyota Camry with a 2.5 engine is now equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and not a 6 automatic transmission or a CVT from the basic version. If you believe the passport data of the novelty, the sedan can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 8.7 seconds, although earlier it could only take 9.9 seconds. The maximum speed remained unchanged - 210 km / h, limited by software.
Without changes, the manufacturer decided to transfer the top-end V6 unit for the 2021 Toyota Camry, with a volume of 3.5 liters (2GR-FKS). As before, its power is 249 horses and 356 Nm of torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission is installed in tandem with this engine. The sedan overcomes the first hundred on the speedometer in 7.7 seconds, and the maximum can accelerate to 220 km / h, which is 10 km / h more than the previous two options.
What has changed externally, what distinguishes the restyled Toyota Camry from the previously presented sedan (before restyling)? Previously, the differences for the USA, Europe and Russia were significantly noticeable, at times the designers completely changed the body and appearance for the car. Now the manufacturer has moved away from such a theory, presenting the same updates for all continents.
In particular, the updated Toyota Camry received chrome C-shaped inserts in the lower part of the front bumper. The upper part of the radiator grill has lost its beak, having received a smooth shape. Changes were made to the lower part, in particular, the design of the alloy wheels was updated. Instead of 16 ″ discs, the updated sedan was installed on 17 ″, although in the top, as before, 18 ″ discs are installed. Following the design, the manufacturer updated the list of body shades, replenishing it with two shades: red and blue. Both colors come with a metallic touch.
Now about the new GR Sport trim, which replaced the S-Edition trim. At first glance, it seems that everything will be new, but in fact, the manufacturer only changed the name. The front bumper has got all the same red inserts, the corresponding emblem of the sports modification of Toyota Camry is located on the radiator grill. Even the details remain the same, the black spoiler on the rear window. The moldings on the doors, both side mirror housings, the sedan roof and the rims are painted in the same black color. The manufacturer did not touch the rear lights in terms of design, leaving them transparent.
