For the first time, the new Opel Insignia liftback in the Grand Sport package was presented back in December 2016. But almost six months later, the novelty reached the Ukrainian car market. Despite the fact that General Motors has officially sold the Opel brand to the French company PSA Group, the GM platform is installed at the heart of the new liftback. As a result, the curb weight of the Opel Insignia liftback in any configuration has decreased by at least 175 kg, and the bare body has become lighter by 60 kg.

However, the wheelbase of the Opel Insignia has grown by 92 mm and is now 2829 mm, the height has increased by 29 mm. Following the base, the wheel track increased and the overhangs were shortened. On the territory of Ukraine, the new Opel Insignia liftback is presented in the dealerships of Kharkov and Kiev of the UkrAvto company. According to the configuration, only turbocharged gasoline units with a volume of 1.5 liters and a capacity of 165 and 140 horses are available. A 6-speed manual or automatic transmission is installed in a pair to the engines; only a front-wheel drive version is available by the type of drive.

Combined gasoline consumption is 6.1 liters. Only a 6-speed automatic transmission is paired with the engine. In terms of comfort, the car is not inferior to competitors. Opel Insignia engineers installed adaptive LED optics, auto-dimming mirrors, multiple sensors, dual-zone climate control, a good audio system and a modern multimedia system. From the pleasant in the Opel Insignia, it is worth noting a warm package - it is heated front and rear seats, a windshield, heated all kinds of liquids under the hood and side mirrors.
